As Chair in Safety Science at the CfAA, Mark focuses on the area of human-centred AI, developing safety science that is meaningful for addressing problems with AI and autonomous systems in practical settings. 

With a background as a Chartered Ergonomist and Human Factors specialist, he has worked across a number of safety-critical industries for over 25 years, and has previously supported the delivery of the patient safety syllabus at NHS England.
