The Centre for Assuring Autonomy‘s Safe Clinical AI Lab (SCAIL) is a dedicated online space designed to support the safe development and adoption of AI and autonomous systems across the NHS and wider healthcare sector. Built to bridge the critical gap between academic research and clinical practice, the lab offers healthcare professionals access to research, expert insights, and thought leadership from across related fields such as law, policy, and human resources.
Originally developed by Professor Ibrahim Habli, Dr Yan Jia, Professor Mark Sujan and Professor Tom Lawton, the lab acts as both a repository for our extensive legacy work, and an evolving platform for new content in the field of Healthcare AI to give clinicians the confidence, skills and training to implement AI technologies safely in healthcare environments.
SCAIL’s website content is managed and edited by Sara Thornhurst Chart.PR, if you have an idea for a guest contribution please get in touch.
